Project Overview:
Aramsco needed to upgrade the spray-finishing area at its Sanford facility to support its rack body manufacturing operation. Southern Booth & Equipment supplied and installed a custom side-load crossdraft spray booth with additional structural supports for hanging parts during finishing.
Scope of Work:
SBE installed the booth, obtained building and mechanical permits, and coordinated electrical wiring, the fire alarm connection, and dry chemical fire suppression through the appropriate trade contractors. The project included final building, fire, mechanical, and electrical inspections.
The Challenge:
The booth needed to accommodate the customer's parts-handling requirements while fitting into a facility upgrade involving several trades. Permitting, fire protection, electrical work, and inspections required coordination throughout the installation.
The Solution:
SBE paired a side-load booth configuration with additional supports for hanging parts and coordinated the installation with the electrical and fire-protection contractors. The team carried the project through the permitting and final inspection process.
Results / Outcome:
Aramsco received a completed spray-finishing installation configured for its parts-handling needs. Final building, fire, mechanical, and electrical inspections were completed, closing out the permitting process.
